fentgqiao stone arts factory, specializing in stone sculpture and inscription, is fostered by the triditional handicraft of granite quarrying and carving in suzhou. ever since the establishment in 1978 , a number of stone carving artists have grown up under the training of folk craftsmen and college sculptors. natural granites , marbles and white marbles are exquisitely carved into over 500 sorts of 3 categories -architecture and garden stone carving , ancient-style and european-style stone carving, and city sculpture.

　　

the famous works of the factory's senior craftsmen include dr.sun yat-sen's mausoleum in nanjing , monument to the peoples heroes in beijing , carving in european style buildings at the bund in shanghai, and inscriptions in suzhou ancient gardens. ater the establishment of the factory , a great deal of works is made. there are the statues of marx and engels in shagnhai, son qingling tomb, forest of steles in longhua martyrs mausoleum , tai-ji tomb in beijing wrold park ,stone lions (5.2 m in height) in front of china construction bank , statue oflinsanzhi(10m in height) in najing, statue ofsu dongpo in hangzhou, relief of the tale of jigong, statue of sun wu (5.1m in height) in suzou suwu park , stone lion and stone toriies as gifts to friend cities by suzhou government, and inscriptions and carvings in suzhou style gardens and buildings in usa,canada,singapore and japan. the triditional stone arts is carried on and flouring . the factory is awarded for many times the credit certificated of good quality(issued by ministry of foreign economic relations and trade) baihua award of jiangsu province,and suzhou good product prize. the produts can be found in 29 cities and provinces in china and 18 countries and regions in the world.
